Eczema, as you know if you already have it, is that annoying itchy red scaly rash that you can get on any part of your body including your face. This article will talk about some of the different cures for eczema on your face that you can use to get rid of it fast.

Since having the rash on your face is in such a prominent location you probably want to get rid of it as soon as possible! And while there isn’t any medical cures for eczema as I write, there are many great remedies that will keep symptoms at bay so you don’t need to worry about it.

Since the skin on your face is so delicate compared to the rest of your body, you’ll need to be careful about what you put on it to clear up your rash. Doctors may prescribe a steroid cream but I wouldn’t recommend you use this any longer than a week (and especially not around your eyes) as these creams have been known to cause side effects like skin thinning which can lead to infection. Often after a month of use these creams are no longer effective anyway, so what else can you do?

Try giving up your regular moisturizing creams for something that is specifically made for eczema prone skin. Even some of the budget brands of lotions for dry sensitive skin can be good. Just make sure they have no fragrance, alcohol or a huge list of chemicals in them (check the ingredient list at the back).

Don’t use soaps or cleansers on your face as these can sometimes dry out your skin further. If you can manage it don’t wear makeup (an added benefit is that you won’t need to use makeup remover). Makeup, especially foundation’s and face powders, can often harbor bacteria that can builds up over time. If you have eczema then you don’t want to be using anything on your face unnecessarily.

Take vitamin supplements. Great supplements for healing skin conditions include those with Vitamin A & E in them. Also fish oil (or any other omega 3 supplement) is very beneficial as it hydrates the skin from within.

Many people also say that taking probiotics are also good for clearing up skin problems. The reason is that the good bacteria in these products can help fight infection from the inside and improve your natural immune system into helping itself.
