Magic Remedy for Eczema – Does it Exist?
As a blog writer for eczema I often come across many different sites claiming that have the best and most effective remedy for eczema that works for everyone and every condition. I really wish it were true because this whole site would be dedicated to that one product, but in reality, everyone is different and what will help your eczema might not help the next person.
Vaseline might work for one person but make things worse for another. Various creams and lotions for eczema work for some – everyone seems to have a favourite brand. I don’t personally like the various corticosteroid creams that you are prescribed because they have so many side effects and don’t work long term.
This is the reason, that while I will mention some creams and lotions and give you some general remedies for eczema, I don’t fully endorse one particular product.
In fact if you have read the majority of my posts, the only thing that I do recommend is trying to live a stress free, healthy lifestyle.
Fish oil and other omega-3 supplements are also very good for the majority of eczema sufferers. This is because they treat the problem holistically from the inside out, rather than just clear up a rash on the top of the skin.
The reason that many people have allergies or eczema is because their immune systems over react to certain irritants (which is often why it runs in the family). Often times it can be hard to pinpoint what your body is reacting to. It could be food, dust, pets, chemicals, soaps or something else.
- Cut out the cleaning products and use natural vinegar and baking soda.
- Find a safe eczema friendly soap without perfumes, alcohol or other additives.
- Eat organic foods where they are available and your budget will allow.
- Cut out sugar, alcohol and caffeine which can disrupt the body’s internal workings.
- Get out in the sun (it’s a natural antiseptic) for short periods during the day.
- Find ways to relax to reduce stress.
Many of these things work much better than some magical remedy for eczema.
