Selfmade Allioli/Aioli after a Catalan recipe,...

You can make your own eczema cream at home that is just as effective (and much cheaper) than any that you can get at a store.

This eczema cream is for mild eczema and can be applied to nearly any part of the body.

The lotion is made with pure olive oil which you can get at any grocery store or health food store. Try and buy the best quality olive oil that you can. Add to that some Vitamin E. You can buy vitamin E capsules at any health food store and pop open the capsules with a pin to get the vitamin E out.

That’s all you need to do! It’s very gentle and soothing for your skin.

If you would like to make a thicker version all you need to do is add some oats to the mixture: any oats will do – porridge or steel cut. To make the cream smooth, grind up the oats in a coffee grinder and then add them to the olive oil/vitamin E blend.

The oats are very effective at relieving any itching that you may have.

To keep your eczema at bay, make sure you clear your home of anything that might be irritating your skin such as soaps, detergents or even dust and pet hair. Always dress in cotton clothing that will allow the skin to breathe and put cotton linens on the bed. Avoid polyester blends if at all possible.

Lastly take up some form of stress relief such as yoga or meditation as it has been proven that stress is a factor in causing flare-ups.
